Made it to Rome on Sunday on time, and with my luggage!!! Woohooo!!! I found my way to the hotel where Erica, Julie, and I will be staying for the next three nights. I managed to sleep for about seven hours of the ten-hour flight which impressed my seat mates.
Finally found the hotel after a few times around the block - it was shrouded in scaffolding. On the way I saw some ancient thermal baths - there are archaeological sites everywhere throughout the city!
I managed another quick nap at the hotel before trekking off to Largo di Torre Argentina - the site where Julius Caesar was said to have been assassinated. It is also a cat sanctuary - of course this was a must first stop!!!

A 30-minute walk back to the train station to meet Julie and Erica was next. They arrived in Rome today after exploring the Amalfi coast: Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi.

Julie managed to not puke on the crazy bus routes! The lemon groves were everywhere and they managed to taste a lemon gelato that was Erica’s favourite food so far!

Our dinner tonight was at Pizzium, close to the hotel. Unbelievably fresh ingredients- delicious!!!
